Double-Storey Terrace

Completed Aug 2023

Each element resonates with the calm cadence of a soothing melody. Isometric waves and 2-dimensional curves invite fingers to dance along their rhythmic contours. Muted hues, led by royal blue, humbly cocoon the senses, allowing touch to take the lead. A tactile narrative, where arches and pleats beckon exploration, transforms visual into visceral. Staccatos of vibrant blue punctuate, a visual crescendo in this haptic ballet. Here, the design isn't just seen, it's felt—a tactile sonata, an ode to tranquility through touch.

Embarking on a captivating journey where design fuses with melody, where touch reigns supreme – this latest project takes us on a symphonic voyage through a virtual showroom, curated for a visionary property developer. Inspired by the essence of music, every facet of this space resonates with rhythmic elegance.

Embracing the township’s musical motif, the design transcends the literal, weaving abstract isometric and two-dimensional waves into its tapestry. A serene palette, anchored by a regal royal blue, invites touch over sight, evoking the tranquility of a calm opus. This choice not only signifies composure in music but also cedes the spotlight to the vibrant garden surroundings.

The foyer, a prelude to this melodic narrative, orchestrates a feature wall that curves gracefully into a planter box, a visual sonata extending skyward. The living area, a canvas of sleek minimalism, invites statements in royal blue, each piece echoing a crescendo. In the dining area, a terrazzo table, set against a woven rug, orchestrates a visual crescendo. A pendant light, resembling raw stone, adds rustic soul, evoking music’s primal essence. The kitchen dances with two-dimensional arches, serenading the space as open shelves. Upstairs, a royal blue platform unveils a white piano, a stage for familial symphonies.

The master bedrooms echo this motif, intertwining arches with flutes, a dynamic duet of design elements. Yet, it is in last bedroom that a daring cadence emerges. Plaster walls, adorned in black and deeper beige, herald a liberated ode to music’s boundless flow. Mirrors, poised asymmetrically in the lavatories, echo this sentiment, celebrating music’s inherent freedom.
